About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically strong Accounting Assistant Manager to support our finance operations. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in the travel agency or travel management industry, who can handle the technical aspects of accounting processes while working closely with the Accounting Manager on strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Accounting Manager in overseeing daily accounting operations
- Handle technical accounting processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
- Manage and monitor foreign currency transactions and conversions across multiple countries
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
- Assist in BIR compliance, reportorial requirements, and statutory filings
- Conduct benchmarking and financial analysis to support business decisions
- Supervise and guide accounting staff as needed
- Continuously improve accounting workflows and systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
- CPA is preferred but not required
- Experience in a travel agency or travel management company is required
- At least 3–5 years of accounting experience, with supervisory exposure preferred
- Strong understanding of technical accounting processes
- Experience handling multi-currency transactions and foreign exchange conversions
- Knowledge of BIR regulations and compliance requirements
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and organized
