About the job DevSecOps Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join a global Systems and Software organization. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, securing, and operating on-premises CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and deployment platforms for enterprise and AI-enabled applications. Your primary focus will be embedding security, reliability, and compliance into the software delivery lifecycle, particularly within managed, restricted, or air-gapped environments.
Key Responsibilities
Secure Pipeline & Infrastructure Engineering
- CI/CD Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines tailored for on-premises enterprise applications.
- Security Integration: Embed automated security scanning, vulnerability remediation, and compliance controls directly into build and release workflows.
- Environment Hardening: Manage and harden Windows and Linux environments used for build, test, and production, ensuring robust identity and access control management.
- Deployment Models: Support on-premises deployment strategies, including customer-managed servers and restricted network configurations.
Software Distribution & Operations
- Artifact Management: Support the secure packaging, versioning, and distribution of software artifacts, including installers, services, and containers.
- System Stability: Collaborate with engineering teams to improve build reliability, deployment consistency, and runtime stability across hybrid environments.
- Monitoring & Response: Maintain on-premises monitoring, logging, and alerting services while leading incident response and root-cause analysis for system improvements.
Governance & Standards
- Best Practices: Establish and maintain DevSecOps standards and technical documentation to ensure scalable and repeatable processes.
- Compliance Advocacy: Partner with security and compliance teams to support audits and comprehensive technical security reviews.
- Technology Evolution: Anticipate the impact of emerging technologies and adjust infrastructure strategies to maintain a secure, high-performance posture.
Requirements
Experience & Education
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Professional Tenure: Minimum of 6 years of experience with on-premises CI/CD tooling (e.g., Azure DevOps Server or equivalent).
- DevSecOps Mastery: Proven track record of implementing DevSecOps practices across the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Technical Skills
- Automation: Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Systems Hardening: Experience supporting production on-premises systems, including patching and familiarity with OWASP security practices.
- Security Tooling: Hands-on experience with secrets management, certificates, encryption, and artifact repositories.
- Containerization: Experience with Docker and familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialized Systems: Experience supporting AI platforms or data-intensive systems in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
- Deployment Tooling: Hands-on experience with installer packaging (e.g., InstallShield, MSI/EXE).
- Hybrid Cloud: Experience with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) in a hybrid enterprise context.
