Job Summary
The Acquisition / Business Development Head is responsible for leading the company’s site acquisition and expansion strategy, ensuring the successful identification, negotiation, and securing of high-potential commercial locations for store and branch growth. This role oversees the end-to-end expansion pipeline, from market identification and feasibility analysis to lease negotiations and site rollout coordination. The position also works closely with operations, construction, and leadership teams to support sustainable business expansion across key markets.

Key Responsibilities

Site Acquisition & Expansion Strategy

  • Lead the overall strategy for store and branch expansion.
  • Identify and secure high-potential commercial locations aligned with business growth plans.
  • Build and manage a strong expansion pipeline across priority areas.

Lease Negotiation & Property Management

  • Handle lease negotiations with landlords, property owners, and mall developers.
  • Maintain strong relationships with brokers, leasing teams, and real estate partners.
  • Ensure favorable commercial terms aligned with company objectives.

Market Research & Feasibility

  • Conduct market studies, competitor mapping, and site feasibility analysis.
  • Evaluate location performance potential based on traffic, demand, and business fit.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for site approvals.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with operations, construction, and leadership teams for store rollout execution.
  • Ensure timely coordination from site approval to store opening.
  • Align expansion plans with operational readiness and business goals.

Leadership & Pipeline Management

  • Lead and manage the acquisition/business development team.
  • Drive execution of the expansion pipeline and ensure timely delivery of targets.
  • Establish strong processes for site sourcing, evaluation, and approval.

Ideal Background / Qualifications

  • Strong experience in site acquisition, business development, or retail expansion.
  • Background in F&B, convenience stores, coffee chains, restaurants, or FMCG industries preferred.
  • Proven experience managing multiple store opening or expansion projects.
  • Strong network with brokers, mall leasing teams, and property developers/owners.
  • Leadership experience handling acquisition or expansion teams.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
