Role Overview

The IT Tools Administrator will support the implementation, optimization, and day-to-day management of a Workday HR system within a dynamic, business-as-usual environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring system stability, data accuracy, and effective user adoption, while contributing to ongoing HR technology transformation initiatives.

The position requires strong technical expertise in Workday, combined with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders, manage system changes, and support continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support system configuration to align with organizational HR policies, workflows, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality within the HR system.
  • Administer system security, including user roles, permissions, and access controls.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide insights into HR metrics and performance.
  • Assist in managing integrations between Workday and other systems (e.g., payroll, benefits, time tracking), both during implementation and steady-state operations.
  • Support system updates and enhancements, including testing, validation, and deployment of changes.
  • Partner with stakeholders to communicate system updates and ensure awareness across the organization.
  • Provide end-user support, including guidance, troubleshooting, and training for employees and managers.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system optimization.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to support system-related initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business, or a related field (preferred)
  • At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience supporting Workday in a post-implementation or steady-state environment.
  • Strong understanding of Workday business process configuration, including workflows and approvals.
  • Experience in managing system security, including user roles and access controls.
  • Knowledge of data management practices, including data imports/exports and ensuring data quality.
  • Familiarity with core Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, Recruitment, Compensation, and Performance Management.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support and train users effectively.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Preferred

  • Exposure to Workday integration tools (e.g., Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder) and integration concepts.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Working knowledge of HR processes and best practices.
  • Experience working in a business-as-usual (BAU) support environment.
