Network Engineer

Role Overview

The Network Engineer is responsible for implementing, supporting, and maintaining enterprise data center and network infrastructure solutions. This role focuses on network deployment, migration activities, routing and switching technologies, firewall administration, and infrastructure security support across complex enterprise environments.

The position requires strong hands-on expertise in data center networking technologies, firewall platforms, and network migration projects, along with the ability to collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful infrastructure delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Network Infrastructure & Deployment

• Implement enterprise data center network infrastructure solutions and support infrastructure deployment initiatives.
• Support execution of network migration projects involving application and infrastructure transitions.
• Configure and maintain routing and switching environments across enterprise network platforms.
• Support IP-based network architecture implementation and optimization activities.
• Configure and support enterprise networking technologies including routing protocols, switching platforms, and data center solutions.

Security & Firewall Support

• Configure and support firewall technologies across enterprise network environments.
• Support migration of application and infrastructure traffic through secured network environments.
• Assist in maintaining network security controls and infrastructure protection mechanisms.
• Support network and security operations related to routing, switching, and firewall technologies.

Project Coordination & Delivery

• Participate in planning, coordination, and execution of network infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to support successful delivery activities.
• Ensure implementations align with enterprise standards, operational processes, and security controls.
• Support documentation, knowledge transfer, and operational handover activities.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience implementing enterprise data center network infrastructure solutions.
• Strong expertise in routing and switching technologies within enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise networking platforms and data center technologies.
• Experience supporting network infrastructure migration and application transition projects.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP and Ethernet technologies.
• Knowledge of IP routing protocols and enterprise network architecture design principles.
• Experience working with firewall technologies across enterprise network environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, coordination, and communication skills.
• Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure projects.

Preferred

• Exposure to DNS and SD-WAN technologies.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation or scripting concepts such as Python.
• Experience supporting software-defined networking and virtualized network environments.
