ServiceNow Developer (Architect/SME)

Job Summary

We are seeking skilled and proactive ServiceNow professionals to provide both functional and technical expertise across the full lifecycle of ServiceNow solutions, including planning, design, development, and implementation. This role involves working in an agile environment to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions across multiple projects with varying levels of complexity.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional and technical support in the planning, analysis, design, and implementation of ServiceNow applications and modules
• Conduct impact assessments and contribute to solution design, including effort estimation for incoming requirements
• Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications based on business needs
• Deliver solutions using agile methodologies, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives
• Drive automation initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency within the platform
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications, and deliver working solutions across development sprints
• Develop and maintain application code, ensuring quality, scalability, and maintainability
• Perform system implementation, testing, and deployment in accordance with established software engineering practices and IT service management standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues, including incident and defect management
• Conduct impact analysis and testing related to system updates, patches, and upgrades
• Proactively identify risks and issues, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation in line with defined standards

Qualifications and Requirements

Required:

• Hands-on experience in ServiceNow development or architecture
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow platform modules, such as ITSM, ITOM, SecOps, IRM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM, or SPM
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in ServiceNow development or solution architecture

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies
• Exposure to emerging technologies such as Generative AI
• ServiceNow certifications
• Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
• Background in systems engineering or software development
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly learn and share knowledge within the team
• Proactive mindset with a focus on automation and continuous improvement
