Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Create financial reports and presentations for management, providing analysis of key metrics and trends.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Manage the annual budgeting process and monitor performance against budget.
- Provide variance analysis and assist in financial forecasting and planning.
- Accounts Management:
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely billing and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate posting of accounting entries in NAV software.
- Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, including VAT and corporate income tax.
- Provide accurate data for legal compliance and respond to audit queries.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, assigning tasks and supporting their development.
- Conduct performance evaluations and promote professional growth opportunities.
- Retail-Specific Duties:
- Manage inventory accounting and ensure accurate stock valuations.
- Monitor cash flow and analyze sales data to support retail operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus.
- At least 10 years of experience in accounting, with 2+ years in a managerial role.
- Experience in the retail industry is an advantage.
- Proficient in accounting software, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
