About the job Training Coordinator (Maritime)
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with competence matrices in the Crewing System, staying updated on maritime regulations and requirements. Update matrices based on requests from the Person in Charge (PIC) or Crewing Manager for all seafarers, regardless of nationality.
- Serve as the primary user of the Seagull Computer-Based Training (CBT) programs. Manage the generation, import/export, and confidentiality of CBT records, as well as update CBT matrices as advised by clients.
- Coordinate training arrangements, including scheduling courses with both in-house and external providers for Filipino and non-Filipino seafarers. Handle travel, accommodation, and logistics where required.
- Assist with training administration tasks such as documentation, reporting, and resource management to ensure smooth operations.
- Collect and consolidate training evaluations and feedback, generating accurate management reports.
- Organize the logistics of seafarer seminars, working with relevant teams, such as the Training Academy for program details, Crewing for participant coordination, and Admin/Catering for venue, transportation, and food arrangements.
- Maintain records of in-house training sessions conducted at OSM Thome Manila.
- Manage the distribution of certificates to relevant departments such as the crewing support team or crewing department.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in training administration and management of computer-based training systems.
- Shipboard experience on internationally trading vessels is a plus.
- Bachelors degree in any field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using office productivity software.
- Capable of managing tasks efficiently and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with maritime regulations related to seafarer training requirements.
