Working Model: Hybrid, 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

We operate a hybrid working model, with a split of days being in the office and days being worked at home. Pepper Money has three offices across the UK and one office in Manila, where this role will be based.

What you will be doing

As a Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient cloud platforms within Microsoft Azure. Youll work hands-on with automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, and modern DevOps practices to drive efficiency and reliability across the environment. Collaborating closely with architects, developers, and security teams, you will deliver robust solutions that meet business and compliance requirements while ensuring operational excellence and continual improvement. Ideally you will be familiar with ITSM platforms, such as Service DeskPlus and understand security and RBAC in cloud-native environments.

What we are looking for

This role requires a strong Microsoft focused platform engineering mindset, focused on reliability, automation, and scalability. A solid understanding of Azure services is essential, particularly around IaaS, PaaS, networking, and identity. You will be comfortable owning the platform and enabling others to deliver with speed and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and manage secure, scalable Azure environments including Virtual Machines, App Services, SQL Databases, and Container Apps.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, automating deployments and configuration management.
  • Administer and optimise Azure networking and security components such as vNETs, Load Balancers, WAFs, Firewalls, and Key Vault.
  • Automate platform operations and compliance tasks using PowerShell and CI/CD pipelines to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Apply governance, cost optimisation, and RBAC principles to ensure alignment with organisational and security standards.
  • Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver resilient, compliant, and well-governed cloud solutions.


Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (required)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (desirable)
