Assistant Controller/CPA (Hybrid)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Controller to support the Corporate Controller across technical accounting, reinsurance accounting, accounting policy, internal controls, and tax coordination.

We need a hands-on CPA with strong US GAAP/ASC 944 with strong experience with Insurance/reinsurance/warranty experience.

This is a great role for a Big 4 Senior / Manager or similar profile who wants broader ownership in a growing, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical accounting research and application, ensuring compliance with US GAAP (especially ASC 944 Insurance) and regulatory standards.
• Provide analytical support for the monthly financial reporting package.
• Support the financial close process and preparation of financial disclosures.
• Develop, maintain, and update accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA required 
• 4 years of progressive accounting experience

Hours:

• Full Time - 40 hours per week
• Monday - Thursday, Hybrid Friday
