Position Overview

As an independent Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, you will function as a primary care provider for pediatric patientsmanaging acute and chronic conditions, conducting routine health maintenance visits, and leading patient care without direct physician supervision. You will have the opportunity to shape clinical workflows and contribute to program development within a supportive and forward-thinking healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform well-child exams, physicals, and developmental assessments
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions
  • Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state scope of practice laws
  • Educate and counsel patients and families on health, nutrition, and developmental concerns
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Maintain accurate EMR documentation and coordinate referrals as needed
  • Contribute to clinical best practices and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Board certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-PC) or Family Nurse Practitioner (with strong pediatric experience)
  • Current, unrestricted APRN license in Nevada with full practice authority
  • DEA license and prescriptive authority
  • Minimum of 3 years of autonomous pediatric clinical experience preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
  • Proficient in EMR systems and evidence-based care
