Job Title: Credit Risk Head

Department: Credit Risk Management

Reports To: Executive Management/Board of Directors

Location: Office (95%), Field (5% - Cavite Office as needed)

Employment Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday, Morning Shift

Salary: Up to 130,000 (basic)

Job Summary:

The Credit Risk Head will oversee and manage the credit risks associated with the bank's lending activities to both individual and business clients. This role is crucial for ensuring balanced and strategic credit decisions to minimize potential financial losses from borrower defaults. The position requires leadership in credit risk policy development, compliance oversight, credit portfolio management, and effective team management to maintain regulatory compliance and optimize departmental performance.


Duties and Responsibilities

A. Credit Risk Management (Primary)

  • Develop and implement credit risk programs that define criteria for credit approval, terms, conditions, and limits in line with bank and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee credit underwriting processes, ensuring thorough due diligence and assessing risk levels for all credit applications.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the banks credit portfolio to detect early signs of imbalance, analyzing loan performance and mitigating risks proactively.

B. Reporting and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and bank policies related to credit risk management.
  • Provide insights and reports on the overall credit risk profile and portfolio performance, presenting findings to the Management and Board of Directors.
  • Collaborate with business units and credit operations to reduce delinquency rates and minimize defaults.

C. Management Leadership

  • Develop and manage departmental plans, programs, budgets, and performance targets, promoting a productive and high-performance work environment.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to direct reports, supporting their professional development and evaluating their performance.
  • Coordinate leave schedules and oversee daily activities to maximize department efficiency.

D. Other Responsibilities

  • Advise management on actions requiring legal review or consideration.
  • Actively participate in meetings, training sessions, and development programs.
  • Contribute recommendations on business operations and other relevant activities.
