Pointe Staffing Group has been retained by one of the fastest growing Accounting & Advisory firms to lead the search for a newly created Partner position.

This Partner will be based in the Washington DC office and will spearhead the growth and development of the firms market footprint.

As a partner, you will be responsible for a blend of client delivery, business development, leading teams, as well as serving as a member of the firms leadership team

Client Delivery

• Assist with complex transactions, technical accounting standard and policy implementations, financial reporting, and operational accounting
• Conduct IPO-readiness assessments and assist clients in preparation for a public offering
• Advise on complex accounting policy in all areas of US GAAP and/or IFRS, including consolidation, revenue recognition, etc.
• Transformation of finance and/or accounting functions including accounting and operational process improvements, integration support, etc.

Firm Leadership

• Oversee client accounts, projects, and engagements, including: work plans, staffing, timelines, fee negotiations and budgets throughout all lifecycle phases
• Build and develop strong client relationships
• Develop timely resolutions to issues, risks, and project team conflicts
• Develop delivery methodologies and new service offerings
• Manage teams and people by tracking and directing performance against objectives, while encouraging continuous improvement and innovation
• Act as role model, supervisor, coach, and mentor to team members

Business Development

• Origination of opportunities on new and existing clients, drafting of proposals and involvement in the sales process (e.g. meetings, pitches, etc.).
• Teaming with Partners and Managing Directors from other firm service areas (e.g. accounting advisory, business transformation) to identify and propose opportunities.
• Identifying additional revenue streams with our clients.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 15+ years experience in public accounting and/or industry accounting/finance; prior Big 4 public accounting experience is required
• CPA and/or MBA combined with solid accounting experience will be considered instead of an Accounting degree
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP, SEC reporting, etc)
• Enjoy being client-facing and proactive in identifying client needs
• Proven business development leader
• Have a consultative mindset and are a problem-solver

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and include additional bonuses/incentives.
