Job Summary

The IT Executive will provide crucial first-level support for the Asset Digitization (AD) system, including system enhancements and integration within the AD ecosystem. This role leads the planning and execution of smart device deployment projects involving IoT, sensors, and AI technologies, aligned with strategic IT and business goals. Key duties include contributing to data management and analytics for industrial systems like PLC and SCADA, collaborating with technology partners and business units to drive innovative solutions, and undertaking additional tasks assigned by management. The ideal candidate is proactive, skilled in communication and problem-solving, and experienced in port-related technologies and digital transformation initiatives.

Job Description
  • System Helpdesk Support Provide first-level support for the Asset Digitization (AD) system, including system enhancements, new reporting requests, functionality improvements, and integration with the AD ecosystem and related applications.
  • Project & Strategic Support - To lead, deliver and manage smart device deployment projects on time, including IoT, sensors, and AI device integration while supporting achievement of strategic IT and business objectives.
  • Internal Audit & Compliance Validate processes, address audit findings, and support compliance with cybersecurity standards, ISMS, and other relevant frameworks.
  • Data Management Contribute to data structure design, data integration, and analytics initiatives for projects involving PLC, SCADA, IoT, and other industrial systems.
  • Collaboration & Innovation Engage with technology partners and key PTP business units to execute proof-of-concepts, drive efficiency, and enhance productivity through innovative technology solutions.
  • Additional Duties Carry out any tasks or assignments as directed by management.
Requirements
  • Physically and medically fit.
  • Bachelors degree in engineering, Mechanical, or Information Technology (or equivalent qualification).
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience, preferably within the port industry.
  • Proficiency in both English and Bahasa Melayu (spoken and written).
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, manage high workloads, and maintain a professional approach to challenges.
  • Interest and knowledge in IoT, AI, Robotic, data modelling, system coding, and data management (e.g., data lakes).
  • Solid understanding of PLC data, SCADA systems, and engineering related to port equipment.
