Job Description

Responsible in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling the assigned projects. The Project Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that timely and safely project completion, complying to safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.

Modification Planning:

  1. Assess and analyze existing systems, equipment, and structures to identify opportunities for improvement or modification.
  2. Develop comprehensive modification plans, considering technical feasibility, cost implications, and regulatory compliance. Leading


Project:

  1. Brainstorming and propose alternative solutions to identified improvement area.
  2. To constantly feedback & implement Equipment improvement program with the superior


Regulatory Compliance:

  1. Stay current with industry standards and regulations applicable to modifications.
  2. Ensure that all modifications adhere to relevant safety and compliance requirements.


Project Management:

  1. Manage modification projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  2. Coordinate with project stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to facilitate successful project execution.


Risk Assessment:

  1. Conduct risk assessments for proposed modifications and develop mitigation strategies.
  2. Collaborate with safety and environmental teams to ensure modifications align with overall risk management goals.


Documentation:

  1. Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all modification projects, including design specifications, project plans, and as-built documentation.
Requirements
  1. Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Automation/ Structural Engineering or relevant 3 to 5 years maintenance experiences in container port equipment
  2. Possess at least 3 years experience in both areas of mechanical or electrical for container port equipment
  3. Knowledge in RTG/Quay Crane systems or in hydraulics or machinery or electrical installation system will be an added advantage.
  4. Able to coordinate project site execution with minimal supervision.
  5. Have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  6. Highly motivated and able to work independently.
  7. Able to manage a group contractors/sub-contractors on-site.
  8. Resourceful, well organized, possess initiative and leadership with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  9. Computer literate and fluent in English and Malay (verbal and written)
  10. Strong reasoning abilities and sound judgment.
  11. Able to withstand heights and working at outdoors environment.
  12. Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
