JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for leading a team of Modification Project Engineers within the Engineering & Facilities Division to plan, manage, and deliver equipment-related projects that support asset replacement, capacity growth, operational efficiency, and sustainability objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading and managing equipment project units under Asset Services, Improvement & Upgrade (AIU), New Asset Replacement & Capacity (NARC), and Asset Technical, Innovation & Technology Concept (AITC).
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the execution of equipment projects -including procurement, replacement, refurbishment, and capacity upgrades - ensuring alignment with PTPs operational needs, budgets, and strategic objectives.
- Responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects, providing leadership, direction, and support to Modification Project Engineers.
- Responsible for project financial management, including budgeting, cost control, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with contractual, scope, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Engage and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe, timely, and within-scope delivery of projects.
- Develop business cases, tender documents, and prepare submissions for Tender Committee as required.
- Evaluate and process contractor claims, including milestone payments, extension of time requests, and variation orders.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, local authority requirements, and internal documentation processes at all times.
- Drive implementation of technology upgrades, sustainability initiatives, efficiency improvements, and innovation projects.
- Responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing KPIs (leading and lagging) related to project performance, financial outcomes, and safety, ensuring continuous improvement and accountability.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) related to modification projects, ensuring adherence through Process Confirmation and Safety Gemba.
REQUIREMENT
- Possess a degree or related professional qualifications in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or its equivalent.
- 5-7 years of progressive Project Management experience mainly in engineering project or other related area.
- Proven experience in managing a multi-disciplined team.
