Location: Bangkok, Thailand
Reports To: General Manager HR, FES , International Operations
Position Overview:
As the HR Manager for the newly formed Thailand subsidiary, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing HR operations. You will lead HR setup, ensure full compliance with Thai labor laws, manage recruitment, and oversee outsourced payroll services. Additionally, you will be responsible for aligning local HR processes with global corporate standards, while ensuring an efficient, compliant, and employee-centric environment.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Setup & Strategy:
o Lead the HR setup for the new Thailand entity, including office setup, infrastructure, and implementation of HR processes.
o Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the business goals and corporate HR guidelines.
Compliance & Legal Affairs:
o Ensure compliance with Thai labor laws, including work permits, employment contracts, and employee benefits.
o Manage legal compliance in areas such as compensation, benefits, safety, and employee relations.
o Advise management on labor laws, regulations, and other HR-related legal matters.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
o Oversee the full recruitment process, from job descriptions to interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of employees.
o Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure the selection of the right candidates for the local team.
o Build and manage relationships with external recruitment agencies to meet staffing needs.
Payroll & Benefits Management:
o Oversee the outsourced payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees.
o Ensure all employee benefits and compensation are competitive, in line with local regulations, and aligned with the companys global standards.
HR Administration:
o Manage HR administrative duties such as employee records, HR documentation, attendance, and leave management.
o Coordinate employee training and development programs in alignment with both local needs and global company initiatives.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
o Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations, resolving conflicts and fostering a positive work environment.
o Promote a culture of transparency, inclusion, and respect within the organization.
HR Systems & Process Alignment:
o Ensure the alignment of local HR processes with corporate HR systems, policies, and best practices.
o Manage HR data and reporting systems to track performance, turnover, and employee satisfaction metrics.
Key Requirements:
Experience:
o At least 5 years of experience in HR management, with a strong background in HR operations, compliance, and talent management, ideally in a multinational or manufacturing environment.
o Proven experience in setting up HR functions for new subsidiaries or businesses.
Knowledge:
o Strong knowledge of Thai labor laws and HR best practices.
o Familiarity with HRIS systems and payroll platforms (outsourced vendor experience is a plus).
Skills & Competencies:
o Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
o Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
o Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
o Fluency in both Thai and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
Education:
o Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
