We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Seed Operations Director for our clients in agriculture industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of end-to-end business processes, from production to supply chain management and customer delivery. The Seed Operations Director will play a critical role in optimizing operational efficiency, ensuring seamless coordination between various departments, and driving overall business growth. This position requires a minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience in operations, strong leadership abilities, and a comprehensive skill set in operations management.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategic plans: Collaborate with senior management to define the company's operational objectives and develop strategies to achieve them. Create and execute plans that align with the organization's goals, ensuring efficient operations and continuous improvement.
  2. End-to-end process optimization: Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement, focusing on streamlining operations, reducing costs, and enhancing productivity. Implement best practices and monitor performance metrics to drive operational excellence.
  3. Supply chain management: Oversee the entire supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of goods and optimize inventory levels.
  4. Cross-functional collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration between departments, including production, finance, sales, and customer service. Ensure alignment and coordination across teams to maximize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  5. Talent management and leadership: Build and lead a high-performing operations team, providing mentorship, guidance, and development opportunities. Foster a positive work culture, promote teamwork, and empower employees to achieve their full potential.
  6. Continuous improvement initiatives: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost savings. Implement and monitor performance improvement programs, such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen, to drive operational excellence and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the agriculture industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of end-to-end business processes, including production, supply chain, and customer delivery.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of driving operational efficiency, implementing process improvements, and delivering results.
  • Experience in implementing and utilizing operational management tools and methodologies (e.g., ERP systems, Lean Six Sigma).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
