Job Title: Accounts Assistant / Financial Accountant

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Assistant / Financial Accountant to join our finance team in Johnstown, Naas. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for a proactive individual with a strong background in finance who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing bank reconciliations
• Managing supplier payment runs
• Conducting customer and supplier reconciliations
• Completing VAT reconciliations
• Acting as Sicon Purchase Requisition custodian
• Preparing and submitting ROS returns including VAT, RTD, Intrastat, and Form 46G
• Completing CSO returns
• Preparing accruals and prepayments

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years experience in a busy finance department
• AAT Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant working towards a professional qualification
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• A positive, adaptable attitude and a willingness to learn

Desirable:

• Experience in the construction industry
• Proficiency in Sage 200
