Job Summary
The Baker is responsible for preparing and baking bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods in accordance with company recipes and quality standards while ensuring cleanliness, food safety, and efficient kitchen operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked products according to standard recipes and procedures.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately to ensure product consistency and quality.
- Monitor baking process, oven temperatures, and product appearance to achieve desired results.
- Decorate and present baked goods as required.
- Ensure freshness, quality, and proper storage of baked products and ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of baking equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Monitor inventory of baking ingredients and supplies and report shortages when necessary.
- Assist in receiving and organizing deliveries of baking materials.
- Perform opening and closing bakery procedures.
- Follow company policies, operational procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- At least High School or Senior High School graduate.
- Experience in baking or pastry preparation is an advantage.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment operation.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
