Job Summary
The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to company recipes and quality standards while ensuring proper food handling, kitchen cleanliness, and efficient kitchen operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food items in accordance with approved recipes and standards.
- Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control are consistently maintained.
- Prepare ingredients and assist in kitchen mise en place before operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Monitor food inventory and report shortages or spoilage to the supervisor.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and cooked food.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and service crew to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Assist in receiving and inspecting food deliveries and supplies.
- Perform opening and closing kitchen procedures.
- Follow company policies, kitchen procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- At least High School or Senior High School graduate.
- Proven experience as a Cook or in food preparation is an advantage.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
