  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 15+ years experience in Utilities & Cranes in a Steel Plant or similar Steel industry sector.
  • Manage provision of the necessary utilities required to ensure the correct operation of the Plant.
  • Responsibilities will include the identification and consolidation of utility requirements, managing engineering interfaces, contractors design information and the arranging the provision of appropriate temporary and/or permanent utilities & cranes maintenance to the site to support construction and operation phases.

Processes and Maintenance Schedule Oversight

  • Supervise, control & direct the operation and maintenance activity in Water Treatment Plant, pumping, compressing, HVAC, Substation, LPG and cranes.
  • Modification & improvement in the cooling system of downstream shops & extension.
  • Implement of Modern Maintenance Strategies such as condition-based maintenance (C.B.M), Reliability cantered maintenance (R.C.M), Vibration monitoring of equipment etc.
  • Analyze utility equipment performance data and take corrective measures for efficiency improvement.
  • Prepare and manage energy and utilities KPIs and benchmarking reports.
  • Lead or support technical studies and projects related to utility expansion, modification, or modernization.
  • Review technical specifications, drawings, and vendor proposals for new installations.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and contractors during utility-related projects.
  • Ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities (e.g., Royal Commission, civil defense, environmental agencies).

Financial Oversight

  • Prepare and manage annual utilities operation and maintenance budgets.
  • Monitor and control expenditures, ensuring cost-effective resource use.
  • Evaluate and approve procurement of spare parts, consumables, and service contracts.

Policy and Standards Compliance

  • Follow up and supervise the preparation of work standards and enforce compliance with company standards and policies
  • Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.
  • Keep the plant clean and enforce HSE standards to protect personnel and equipment
