Position Title: Trailer Operator

Responsibilities:

-Prepares the trip documents, obtains the waybill, and makes sure that it contains all of the information required (vehicle no., product, source, certification, client, etc.). Gathers all of the documentation and equipment required for the trip (shipping and transportation documents for dangerous materials, analysis certificates, weighing scale certificates, etc.).

-Inspects the equipment before leaving, records any defects that must be corrected in the inspection report, and informs the maintenance coordinator and the logistics supervisor. Checks Customerss Tank specifications and condition, road conditions, and reviews the customers requirements.

-Delivers the products and ensures that the truck is loaded in compliance with the procedures and regulations. Affixes any placards required for dangerous materials. Upon arriving at the delivery site, check the condition of the equipment and facility. Records any defects observed at the facility and submits the record to the supervisor at the end of the trip. Contact the dispatcher for any delivery noncompliance.

-Upon returning from the trip, inspect the equipment and record any defects noted for repairs when required. Hands in all of the documentation for the trip so that it can be validated. (Driver to scan and send a scanned copy of all documents to the logistics supervisor).

-Receive purchased products from a customers premises, ensure the purity of the products delivered, and unload at the customers premises.

-Maintain a regular check on the trailer to ensure all travel requirements such as fuel, lubrication, brakes, tire pressures, cooling system, battery, running lights, etc., to maintain safe operations and to avoid trouble and delays.

-Keep all passes, permits, and training current and valid for all customer access and notify when any is close to expiry.

-On-site operations activities such as purging jobs, he is also responsible for taking equipment from the traffic department for registration and inspection whenever required.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

The relevant code of defensive driving license or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

Minimum of 2 years experience,

or 1 year with the relevant code of license plus a third-party certification driving license training
