About the job Construction Supervisor (Offshore)

  • Diploma or an equivalent technical qualification in a mechanical / structural / E&I/Telecom.
  • Minimum of 12 years in petroleum/petrochemical construction industry and offshore project experience with North Oil Company (NOC) is required, of which six (06) years shall have been at a supervisory level.
  • A complete and thorough knowledge of North Oil Company (NOC) safety rules and regulations is mandatory.
  • Fabrication, welding and erection of structural steelwork
  • E&I/Telcom installation works
  • Monitor work progress against project schedules and report deviations to the Construction Manager
  • Review and ensure all construction activities comply with approved engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure accurate implementation of welding, fabrication, lifting, and erection procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to offshore construction teams on-site.
  • Manage and lead an offshore workforce team in order to ensure that they are well-trained and follow safety procedures.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Responsible for resource allocation, supplier management and logistics coordination.
  • Prepare the lessons learnt during the project execution.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Construction Manager.
  • Scaffolding Erection and dismantling works
  • Lifting operations from a platform with the associated slinging and rigging required.
  • Construction plant and equipment
  • Coordinate daily with offshore OIM, production teams, marine logistics, and onshore engineering and planning teams.
  • Interface with vendors, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure work quality and schedule adherence.
  • Support material management, equipment mobilization, and logistics coordination offshore.
  • Ensure that all offshore construction work meets NOC quality standards and is carried out according to inspection and test plans (ITPs).
  • Liaise with QA/QC inspectors and verify acceptance of completed works.
  • Support pre-commissioning and handover processes for completed scopes.
  • Prepare and submit daily construction progress reports, including manpower, work status, and key events.
  • Ensure proper documentation of construction drawings, redlines, punch lists, and as-built records.
  • Shall be required to provide as necessary by NOC, Method Statement for Offshore activities including lifting operations.
  • Fully conversant with MS Office 365, AutoCAD and other Engineering software like NAVISWORKS/SOLIDWORKS.
