  • 8-10 years experience in the level of Senior Operator particularly in Wire Drawing and Stranding Machines
  • Certified from Industrial Training Institutes after Secondary School or Pre-degree
  • Operational knowledge, principles, practices and procedures on Wire drawing and stranding machines.
  • To lead the team of Operators working under Metallurgy Scope Section (Wire Drawing, Stranding and Wire Rewinding Machine) and ensure that output of each machine confirms to the set quality standards and specifications.
  • Supervises and guides all the team of Operators working in his section and ensures that they are handling the machine, raw materials, toolings, tools & tackles and consumable items within the company's standards and safety guidelines.
  • Supervises the Metallurgy Scope Operator in handling the machine as per the work instructions and set parameters of the quality system.
  • Provides proper manufacturing order plans based on the schedule from planning department at each Machine Centres.
  • Authorizes the production after verifying the toolings used at the machines. Counter checks the quality of the product from the machine and ensures that it meets standards in terms of quality. Counter checks the statistical plot of the measured dimensions in the control chart during his shift. Verifies all products are provided with all information in its identification tag along with the status.
  • Follows up the operator for recording the production, process & quality data in the relevant documents for all the output produced from the machine and countersigns the same. Informs the Foremen in case of occurrence of non-conforming product or put the product on hold and implement corrective action by recording it in the relevant document as per the Quality system.
  • Ensures the toolings such as dies, tips and marking segment are submitted and taken from Die shop with due care.
  • Suggests productive ideas for continuous improvement in terms of output and Quality.
  • Reports to Foremen all non-conforming product arising out of raw materials and consumable items, unsolved process related issues, environment and safety issues, elements for continual improvement and pending implementations of preventive action tasks relevant to the machine.
  • Ensures all his team members adhere strictly to all environment-related pollution issues and that releases to air, water or ground are under control on each respective machine.
  • Ensures that Machine Operators follow the segregation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials by using the scrap and disposal bins properly.
  • Guides and ensures all Operators are following safety rules & regulations of the machine and the general safety guidelines of the company. Assists the Foremen & Safety Officer in analyzing the environment and safety incidents when the need arises.
  • Coordinates with Maintenance personnel during machinery breakdowns and planned preventive maintenance.
  • Assists Logistic Section in reviewing the raw materials stock and in-process semi-finished goods stock of the machine as the need arises.
  • Acts as a Trainer to newly hired Operators in the respective machines by teaching how to operate it safely and productively. Provides training on special processes such as welding of GS wire, GS Tape and Copper Tape, operation of conductor and butt-welding machines, crimping of conductors copper tubes, etc.
