Role Summary

The Head of Contracting oversees all procurement-related contracts, ensuring they are legally sound, cost-effective, and aligned with the organizations strategic goals. The role involves managing the full contract lifecycle, leading supplier negotiations, mitigating risks, and maintaining strong vendor relationships to support efficient procurement operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and manage supplier and service contracts.

  • Ensure all agreements comply with local laws, company policies, and governance standards.

  • Lead commercial negotiations to secure favorable terms and minimize risks.

  • Monitor contract execution, renewals, and compliance with agreed terms.

  • Maintain an organized and updated contract management system.

  • Handle claims, disputes, and variations with support from legal and other departments.

  • Review tender and RFP documents, advising on legal and commercial aspects.

  • Support standardization of contract templates and train teams on best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Law, Supply Chain, or related field (certifications in contract management preferred).

  • 7 -10 years of experience in contracts administration, procurement, or vendor management.

  • Strong knowledge of contract law, procurement regulations, and risk management.

  • Skilled in ERP systems, MS Excel, and document control tools.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
