Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to lead project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities across major engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project controls, resource planning, progress tracking, risk analysis, and schedule management to ensure successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning tools.
  • Establish project baselines, milestones, and critical path activities.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
  • Conduct schedule analysis, delay assessments, and recovery planning.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Identify schedule risks and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Track resource allocation, productivity, and project performance indicators.
  • Support project budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.
  • Prepare management dashboards and presentations on project status.
  • Ensure compliance with project planning standards, procedures, and contractual requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (BSc, BEng, BA) or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of overall experience in project planning and scheduling.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a Senior Planning Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning methodologies and project controls.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and related planning software.
  • Experience in engineering, construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, aviation, or industrial projects is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and multidisciplinary project environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Primavera P6 Certification.
  • Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Strong understanding of risk management and project controls.
  • Advanced reporting and scheduling expertise.
