Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily accounting operations and ensure accurate general ledger postings.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports.
  • Maintain and monitor cost accounting records, including inventory and production costs.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure accurate costing data.
  • Oversee all tax-related matters, including:
    • Preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax, etc.).
    • Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
    • Liaise with tax authorities and external consultants as needed.
    • Maintain updated tax documentation and support audits or inquiries.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Assist in financial process improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, logistics, and HR.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Professional qualifications such as LCPAA, CIMA, or ACCA is highly preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
    • Proven experience in tax accounting and compliance is required.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (LFRS).
    • In-depth understanding of cost and tax accounting in a manufacturing environment.
    • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems (SAP/Oracle preferred).
    • Strong communication skills in English; ability to communicate in Chinese or Japanese is a strong plus.
    • Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude and strong team spirit.
