Job Title: Remote Freight Broker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Freight Broker to connect shippers with carriers, negotiate competitive rates, and ensure smooth transportation of freight. The ideal candidate has strong sales skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships. This is a fully remote role, but applicants must be based in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with shippers, carriers, and logistics partners.
  • Negotiate rates, contracts, and freight terms to maximize profitability.
  • Coordinate shipment pickups, deliveries, and tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and industry regulations.
  • Use load boards (DAT, Truckstop) and CRM systems to manage freight movement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve delivery issues, delays, and carrier concerns.
  • Generate leads and grow the book of business through cold calling, networking, and referrals.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in freight brokering, logistics, or transportation sales.
  • Active Freight Broker License (MC#) or ability to work under a licensed brokerage.
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills.
  • Experience with TMS software and load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Established book of business with shippers and carriers.
  • Knowledge of LTL, FTL, intermodal, and expedited freight.
  • Experience working with 3PL companies.
