Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Business Development Officer (BDO) to drive growth and manage all aspects of Small Business Administration (SBA) customer relationships. This role involves business development, risk management, operations, underwriting, and relationship management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in SBA lending and a passion for serving small business owners.
Key Responsibilities:

Originate SBA loans, equipment leasing, and Asset-Based Lending (ABL) transactions for small businesses nationwide.

Develop and cultivate relationships with customers and brokers targeting small business owners.

Utilize networking and referrals to identify potential borrowers and generate business leads.

Expand market penetration within assigned locations and sectors.

Promote the clients entrepreneurial lending philosophy, showcasing its ability to meet the needs of small business owners nationwide.

Collaborate with the Chief Business Development Officer and marketing team to create and execute marketing and sales strategies.

Generate leads, complete financing applications, submit loan packages for underwriting, and present loan credits to the Credit Committee.

Identify credit opportunities and provide tailored funding solutions.

Secure signed commitments from customers post-approval and coordinate transaction funding with the Operations Group.

Achieve annual production goals and maintain active use of Salesforce and other origination systems to support deal flow.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:

Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.

Minimum of five years of sales experience in the financial services industry.

Strong experience in the SBA lending industry.
Skills & Competencies:

Proven sales track record, with a history of $20MM+ in annual production over the past three years.

Expertise in serving the financial needs of small business owners and expanding business opportunities.

Solid background in marketing and risk management.

Strong credit and commercial lending skills.

In-depth knowledge of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and loan structuring.

Understanding of SBA Loan Programs.

Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Strong relationship management and B2B sales abilities.

An active referral network is preferred.
Salary= $90-100K OTE minimum expected is $450k up to $600k first year
