Job Summary:
The Executive Chef oversees all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, staff supervision, inventory management, budgeting, and quality control. They ensure exceptional dining experiences while maintaining profitability and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and design creative, seasonal, and profitable menus.
  • Oversee all food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate kitchen staff.
  • Create staff schedules and manage labor costs.
  • Monitor food, labor, and operating expenses to meet budget targets.
  • Order supplies and manage inventory to minimize waste.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety.
  • Ensure compliance with local health regulations and food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with restaurant management on promotions, special events, and new menu launches.
  • Resolve kitchen issues efficiently during service.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements.
  • Establish and maintain standard recipes and portion controls.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef, or similar leadership role.
  • Culinary degree or professional culinary training preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and international cuisines.
  • Experience with budgeting, food costing, and inventory control.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
