Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the instrumentation team to ensure the effective operation of all instrumentation systems in the chemical manufacturing facility.
  • Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of new instrumentation and control systems to enhance production efficiency.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and availability of instrumentation systems.
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits of instrumentation processes to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and implement instrumentation solutions that improve process performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for troubleshooting instrumentation issues and resolving operational challenges.
  • Prepare and manage budget proposals for instrumentation projects and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems within the chemical manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing instrumentation projects from conception through to execution.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to instrumentation in chemical manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in instrumentation design software and advanced analytical tools.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of developing and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
