Job Title: Internal Technical Support Engineer

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing long-term customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, leading the sales team within the assigned area, and driving sustainable revenue growth. This role requires a strategic sales mindset, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex technical sales cycles with industrial customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the sales strategy for the assigned territory in line with the company's business objectives.
  • Achieve annual sales, gross margin, and collection targets.
  • Lead, coach, and support the sales engineers within the assigned area to maximize their performance and professional development.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategic account plans for key customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, consultants, EPC contractors, and end users.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation and opportunity qualification through quotation, negotiation, and order closing.
  • Monitor sales pipelines and ensure opportunities are accurately maintained within the CRM system.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and develop plans to increase market penetration.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reviews, territory reports, and market intelligence.
  • Coordinate with technical support, service, operations, and management teams to deliver effective customer solutions.
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
  • Support the development and execution of marketing initiatives, seminars, technical presentations, and customer events.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales and project execution process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • MBA or postgraduate qualification is considered an advantage.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in industrial B2B sales.
  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership or supervisory sales role.
  • Experience working with industrial customers in one or more of the following sectors:
  • Food & Beverage
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Textile Industry
  • General Manufacturing
  • Experience selling technical engineering solutions is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience using CRM systems
