Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IP Backbone Engineer to design, operate, and optimize a high-availability IP backbone network within an ISP environment. The role focuses on core routing, MPLS services, traffic engineering, and upstream connectivity to ensure network stability, scalability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and operate IP backbone network infrastructure
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot OSPF, BGP, and IS-IS
Manage MPLS backbone services including L2VPN and L3VPN
Apply Traffic Engineering to optimize bandwidth utilization and resiliency
Operate and maintain Internet Gateway (IGW) and upstream ISP connections
Configure and optimize BGP options (policies, attributes, peering, filtering)
Use BFD to ensure fast failure detection and network stability
Troubleshoot complex backbone and interconnection issues
Ensure high availability, redundancy, and service continuity

Technical Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in IPBB

strong hands-on experience with:

OSPF, BGP, IS-IS
MPLS
L2VPN / L3VPN
Traffic Engineering
IGW
BGP Options
BFD
Solid ISP knowledge, including upstream and peering connections
Experience working with large-scale IP backbone networks
