An AI-powered website-building platform is seeking a talented Software WordPress Developer to help scale its next-generation AI Builder the engine responsible for generating thousands of WordPress-based websites every month.

This role requires strong technical WordPress expertise, creative problem-solving, and the ability to develop, optimize, and enhance large-scale automated website generation systems. The platforms headquarters and daily operations are based in Egypt, and this position is fully managed and executed from within Egypt. A separate US entity handles international sales and billing, while all development and product execution remain locally operated.

What Youll Do

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress themes, plugins, and core platform features.

  • Implement and customize REST APIs, webhooks, and integrations between AI systems and WordPress.

  • Extend and optimize automated site-generation scripts to improve build time, performance, and reliability.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to permissions, user access, and builder compatibility.

  • Collaborate with AI and product teams to deliver smooth automation and scalable WordPress deployments.

  • Enhance mobile responsiveness, multilingual capabilities, and template flexibility.

  • Maintain clean, modular, and well-documented code using version control (Git).

  • Participate in code reviews, QA workflows, and continuous deployment cycles.

  • Proactively recommend improvements to security, performance, and user experience.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in WordPress development (themes, plugins, APIs).

  • Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL.

  • Experience with WordPress hooks, filters, CPTs, ACF, and security best practices.

  • Proficiency working with REST APIs, AJAX, and JSON.

  • Familiarity with Git, SSH, cPanel, and cloud hosting environments.

  • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.

  • Fluency in English & Arabic (spoken and written).

  • Self-driven, organized, and motivated to solve complex technical challenges.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with React.js or Vue.js (for UI and builder integrations).

  • Knowledge of automation scripts, AI integrations, or no-code builder platforms.

  • Previous experience in SaaS or startup environments.

  • Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, Docker, or CI/CD workflows.
