Job Purpose:
Lead and manage the procurement operations for raw materials, packaging, and indirect supplies to ensure cost-efficient, timely, and high-quality sourcing that supports production and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives and production plans.
- Source and negotiate with local and international suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and services.
- Manage supplier selection, evaluation, and performance monitoring to ensure reliability and quality compliance.
- Coordinate with R&D, Production, Quality Control, and Planning teams to align procurement activities with product development and launch timelines.
- Control purchasing budgets, monitor price trends, and develop cost-saving initiatives.
- Manage import processes including customs clearance, shipping schedules, and documentation for foreign materials.
- Oversee and mentor the procurement team to ensure effective execution of purchasing operations.
- Maintain accurate records of materials, prices, suppliers, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare periodic reports on procurement KPIs, supplier performance, and budget variance.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (MBA is a plus).
- Experience: Minimum 710 years in procurement, including at least 3 years in a managerial role within the cosmetics, FMCG, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of raw materials and packaging components for cosmetics manufacturing.
- Excellent knowledge of import/export procedures and supplier management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Analytical and cost-control abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
