Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Back Office Microwave (MW) Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Nokia microwave solutions to support configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of MW transmission networks. The role focuses on remote operations, fault handling, performance analysis, and SLA-driven support.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and support Nokia microwave transmission networks from back office/NOC environment
  • Configure and commission MW links remotely, including ODU–IDU pairing, channel setup, and MW IP/MPLS parameters
  • Monitor link performance and conduct preventive checks (e.g., RSL drift, performance degradation)
  • Analyze and resolve MW faults such as link down, degraded links, high BER, fluctuating RSSI
  • Troubleshoot end-to-end connectivity issues across Ethernet L2/L3, VLAN tagging, QoS, and OAM
  • Generate and maintain incident reports, RCA documents, and weekly/monthly availability reports
  • Perform event and performance trend analysis
  • Ensure compliance with SLAs including MTTR and availability targets


Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in BO Microwave Engineering 
  • Strong knowledge of microwave transmission fundamentals (LOS, frequency planning, link budgeting)
  • Hands-on experience with Nokia Wavence solutions
  • Experience with Nokia network management tools: NetAct, NMS Evolution, NMS Studio
  • Solid understanding of IP networking and MPLS over MW links
  • Familiar with troubleshooting and test tools: Wireshark, T-BERD, EXFO, Pathloss
  • Protocol knowledge: SNMP, SSH, Telnet, HTTP/HTTPS
