Job Title: Hospitality Hostess

Job Summary:
The Hospitality Hostess is the first point of contact for guests in a restaurant, hotel, or event venue. She is responsible for warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations and seating arrangements, and ensuring guests have a pleasant and smooth experience from arrival to seating.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor.

  • Manage reservations and maintain an accurate waitlist, coordinating with the front-of-house team.

  • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.

  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth seating flow.

  • Answer guest inquiries about the venue, menu, and services.

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and entrance area.

  • Handle guest complaints or concerns with empathy and escalate to management when necessary.

  • Assist with phone calls, including taking reservations and providing information.

  • Monitor guest flow to optimize seating and minimize wait times.

  • Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and hospitable environment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a similar role preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Friendly and approachable personality.

  • Ability to stay calm and professional in a busy environment.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Basic computer skills for reservation systems.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
