Job Purpose

The SAP Deputy Director is responsible for setting the strategic direction, driving growth, and managing all aspects of the SAP Practice. This role ensures excellence in pre-sales, delivery, team leadership, and client engagement while building long-term, sustainable SAP capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, lead, and manage the SAP Practice.
  • Oversee all SAP pre-sales and delivery activities.
  • Build, develop, and manage SAP teams for pre-sales and delivery.
  • Manage relationships with existing and new clients.
  • Lead full-time and part-time staff, as well as partners and sub-contractors.
  • Define and execute implementation strategies based on customer-specific technology value propositions.
  • Ensure successful delivery of SAP implementations, projects, and business processes.
  • Collaborate with sales and alliance teams to build partnerships, drive go-to-market (GTM) strategies, and enhance delivery capabilities.
  • Provide strong leadership to develop a high-performing practice that meets and exceeds customer expectations.
  • Build and sustain a collaborative team culture focused on long-term customer and partner relationships.
  • Mentor and develop SAP professionals to support solution development, sales enablement, and delivery readiness.
  • Work directly with clients to ensure alignment, satisfaction, and successful outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of SAP consulting experience.
  • Proven leadership experience in SAP service delivery roles, including administrative and customer-facing responsibilities.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven experience as an SAP Application Manager, SAP Operations Manager, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Deep knowledge of ITIL-based service delivery processes and frameworks.
  • Experience working in a Managed Services environment.
  • Ability to communicate decisions and requirements clearly and effectively.
