Job Summary:
The Senior Cigarette Packer Technician is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the cigarette packing process to ensure consistent quality, efficiency, and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves supervising packing line operations, troubleshooting machinery, leading technical adjustments, and training junior operators and technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Operations

Operate, monitor, and maintain cigarette packing machines (e.g., HLP, GD, or Molins packers).

Set up and adjust equipment according to production schedules and product specifications.

Ensure optimal machine performance to achieve target output and minimize waste.

Verify packaging quality (e.g., seal integrity, labeling, wrapping, and carton appearance).
2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Conduct routine preventive maintenance and inspections on packing machines.

Diagnose and correct mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic faults promptly.

Collaborate with the maintenance team for complex repairs and system upgrades.
3. Quality and Compliance

Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, and quality assurance procedures.

Monitor product standards and implement corrective actions for deviations.

Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and tobacco regulations.
4. Team Leadership and Training

Supervise and guide packing line operators and junior technicians.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education:

Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience:

Minimum 5+ years of experience in cigarette or high-speed packaging operations.

Strong knowledge of packing machinery (GD, Focke, Molins, etc.).

Experience in troubleshooting mechanical and automation systems.
