Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager will drive XX growth across construction chemicals (waterproofing, epoxy/PU flooring, concrete repair, sealants, admixtures) and geosynthetics (geotextiles, geomembranes, geogrids).

The role focuses on building strong relationships with consultants, contractors, architects, and developers to win specifications, secure major projects, and expand market share. 

The ideal candidate combines technical understanding with commercial strategy and can identify opportunities, prepare proposals, and lead high-level engagements that position XX as the preferred solutions partner in Ghana and West Africa.

Develop new business across all product categories: waterproofing, flooring, repair systems, sealants, admixtures, geotextiles, geomembranes, and specialty materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and residential projects.
  • Drive specification-based selling through engagement with consultants, architects, and QS firms. 
  • Prepare system recommendations, BOQs, technical proposals, and quotations.
  • Conduct site visits for assessments, technical support, and opportunity development.
  • Track market trends, competitor pricing, and industry movements to refine strategy.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demos for key stakeholders.
  • Strengthen relationships with suppliers and coordinate training, pricing, and product support.
  • Guide the sales team on product knowledge, selling points, and opportunity conversion.
  • Work with marketing to support case studies, brochures, and digital content.
  • Trong technical understanding of construction chemicals and geosynthetics.
  • Ability to read drawings, interpret specifications, and propose system solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness, negotiation ability, and follow-up discipline.
  • Analytical thinking, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent preferred (but not mandatory if experience is strong).
  • Good resorbing, document Abon, and pipeline management skills.
  • Experience Desired 5–10 years in construcbon chemicals or related building materials.
  • Proven track record in business development, specific Abon sales, or technical sales.
  • Experience engaging with consultants, architects, contractors, and developers.
  • Exposure to intern abonal brands (Sika, Fosroc, Ardex, Mapei, BASF/MBCC, Pidilite, Weber Saint Gobain, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in African or Middle Eastern markets is a strong advantage.
