JIRA Administrator

 Job Description:

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid)
Type: 6-Month Contract (extension possible)

We are hiring a JIRA Administrator / Workflow Engineer to build and optimize JIRA workflows across engineering, operations, support, and quality teams for an innovative company in the greater Pittsburgh area. This role will help unify ticketing, quality workflow management, and cross-team visibility including supporting migration from an internal ticketing system to JIRA Service Management.

What You'll Do

  • Build, configure, and enhance JIRA workflows, screens, fields, permissions, and automation rules.

  • Work with engineering, operations, support, and quality teams to gather workflow requirements.

  • Implement cross-team workflows, including workflows involving a contract manufacturer.

  • Assist with migration/integration of an internal ticketing platform into JIRA Service Management.

  • Develop dashboards and reporting to improve traceability and visibility.

  • Serve as an internal JIRA SME and recommend best practices.

  • Independently manage workflow configuration initiatives end-to-end.

What We're Looking For

  • Hands-on JIRA administration experience (Software; JIRA Service Management preferred).

  • Strong workflow/process design skills.

  • Experience migrating or integrating ticketing systems.

  • Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.

Bonus Points For:

  • Customer-facing JSM workflow experience.

  • Experience supporting hardware, manufacturing, or operations teams.

  • Familiarity with DevOps tooling (Bitbucket, Jenkins).

Work Model

  • Hybrid: ~3 days onsite (more preferred)
