Data Integration Architect
Job Description:
Primary Success Factors
- Design and execute strategies to move data solutions/technologies from on-premise systems to cloud environments (public, private, or hybrid)
- Create scalable and efficient data architectures optimized for cloud services, considering factors like storage, compute, and data processing while adhering to industry regulations.
- Implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with various regulations within cloud environments (e.g., encryption, access controls, and data governance)
- Design data solutions that can dynamically scale to meet changing demands and optimize performance in cloud-based infrastructures
- Architect cost-effective data solutions by leveraging cloud services efficiently, minimizing unnecessary expenses
- Establish seamless integration between various cloud-based data services and applications, ensuring interoperability and data consistency
- Develop architectures that support big data processing and analytics applications within the cloud environment
- Design and implement robust backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data resilience and continuity in the cloud
- Work closely with cybersecurity teams to fortify data protection measures against cyber threats and vulnerabilities
- Create documentation and present data architecture concepts to diverse audiences.
- Maintain understanding of data modeling and data integration technology trends and best practices and use this knowledge to bring solutions to business units and IT; make recommendations on buy vs. build decisions
- Provide periodic reports on activities, accomplishments, issues and their solutions, as well as assisting in forecasts of future utilization, tools, and resource requirements
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures and regulations to ensure safe and sound business operations
Required Experience
- Seven or more years of experience using Cloud Data solutions in Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure
- Seven or more years of experience with effectively architecting, managing, and optimizing data solutions to leverage the benefits offered by cloud technologies.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience that includes knowledge of Cloud Data Solutions, Data Warehousing, Data Integration, and Database Management
- Experience using 3rd party cloud data warehouse solutions such as Snowflake or Data Bricks is a plus
- Knowledgeable in the strategy and design of Database Management and Data Warehousing solutions in a Cloud infrastructure.
