Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Linux Administrator with a strong Linux background in Red Hat along with cloud experience. As a Linux Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting our clients Oracle OCI environment, ensuring its performance, availability, and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions, ensuring they align with industry best practices and meet business requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Managed patch management of all Linux servers in the environment.
  • Monitor the performance, availability, and capacity of Oracle OCI resources, promptly addressing any issues or anomalies.
  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable architectures.
  • Collaborate with application development and infrastructure teams to optimize cloud-based solutions, ensuring high performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Oracle OCI services, Linux operating systems, and associated infrastructure.
  • Implement and maintain effective security controls, including access management, data encryption, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of new cloud technologies and tools, providing recommendations based on industry trends and best practices.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator with proficiency in Linux operating systems, a deep understanding of Linux internals, command-line tools, shell scripting, and system performance tuning.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, including access management, encryption, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
