We are seeking a talented Senior Design Engineer for a role with a reputable 100-year-old manufacturing company in their La Vergne, Tennessee plant. Reporting to the Manager of Design Engineering, this role is pivotal in the design, development, and enhancement of company product and equipment systems. This is a full-time role that includes a competitive salary, full health benefits & the opportunity to work 2 days from home after initial ramp up.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct analytical work and develop PLC and HMI software
• Perform product evaluations, design bench tests, and prepare comprehensive manuals.
• Obtain quotes and cost estimates from selected vendors for new components for assigned jobs and projects, ensuring the product and job design are of quality, performance, cost, and availability
• Provide engineering support to manufacturing and materials departments regarding production hardware, tools, processes, production control and material problems, drawings, etc., as requested

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in electrical/control design engineering
• Experience with designing electrical code to industry specification standards
• A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
• Proven expertise in PLC and HMI software
