Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant

Upper Cumberland Specialty Care is looking for a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide outpatient mental health services for children, teens, and adults. The role is based in Jamestown or Clarkrange, TN, with future opportunities to expand through telehealth.

As a PMHNP, youll work closely with the Presley Healthcare provider network and a dedicated Medical Assistant to deliver high-quality care and coordinate treatment plans across age groups.

Responsibilities:

Perform psychiatric evaluations and medication management

Diagnose and treat mental health conditions

Create evidence-based treatment plans

Collaborate with counselors, social workers, and families

Order and review lab tests

Maintain accurate documentation, including notes and billing

Participate in team meetings and training

Follow agency and regulatory standards

Qualifications/Education & Experience:

Masters or Doctorate in Nursing with a psychiatric focus

Accredited PMHNP program completion

12 years of psychiatric experience required; 3+ years preferred

Experience with both youth and adults

Telehealth experience a plus

Licenses & Certifications:

ANCC-certified PMHNP

Active, unrestricted APRN license in Tennessee

Valid DEA license

Eligible for federal health programs

Able to maintain credentialing with insurers and boards

Skills:

Strong clinical judgment

Team-oriented with independent work ability

Proficient in EHR and Microsoft Office

Clear and compassionate communicator
