The Role
We are looking for an AI Agent Product Manager to lead the technical development and deployment of Presto's Voice AI platform for one of our largest enterprise restaurant partners in the United States.
This is a high-impact technical leadership role at the intersection of AI product development, engineering execution, and enterprise deployment. You will work directly with engineering teams to design, build, and launch AI agent capabilities that operate at national scale across hundreds or thousands of restaurant locations.
Every enterprise rollout is effectively a large-scale product launch. Each restaurant environment introduces unique workflows, integration requirements, operational constraints, and real-world edge cases that our AI systems must successfully handle.
In this role, you will lead engineering teams and cross-functional partners to translate operational requirements into scalable AI systems, guide technical decisions during deployment, and ensure our platform performs reliably in complex real-world environments.
Success in this role requires strong technical depth, the ability to lead engineering execution, and the judgment to balance product innovation with real-world operational reliability.
What You'll Do
Lead technical execution for a flagship enterprise deployment
- Own the technical delivery of Presto's Voice AI platform for one of our largest national restaurant partners.
- Lead engineering teams in building, launching, and scaling AI agent capabilities across a nationwide deployment.
- Act as the product and technical lead responsible for successful rollout and performance of the platform.
- Ensure AI systems operate reliably across real-world restaurant environments at scale.
Drive product development with engineering teams
- Partner closely with AI, ML, and platform engineering teams to design and deliver new capabilities required for enterprise deployments.
- Define technical requirements, system behaviors, and product priorities based on customer workflows and operational constraints.
- Guide engineering teams through complex design tradeoffs between system performance, reliability, and product velocity.
- Translate real-world operational challenges into engineering roadmaps and technical solutions.
Translate enterprise workflows into scalable AI systems
- Work directly with enterprise partners to understand restaurant operations, ordering flows, and edge cases.
- Convert operational requirements into scalable AI behaviors, system integrations, and product features.
- Collaborate with engineering to implement conversation logic, integrations, and system improvements.
Lead cross-functional execution across teams
- Align engineering, product, deployment operations, and customer teams around launch timelines and technical priorities.
- Serve as the primary technical interface between enterprise customers and internal engineering teams.
- Manage complex dependencies across platform, infrastructure, AI models, and deployment operations.
Improve AI system performance in production
- Monitor AI agent performance in real-world deployments and identify opportunities to improve system reliability and accuracy.
Analyze production data and customer feedback to drive product improvements.
- Partner with conversational design and AI research teams to refine agent behavior and system performance.
Build scalable deployment frameworks
- Develop repeatable technical patterns and deployment playbooks for future enterprise rollouts.
Help evolve Presto's platform architecture to support large-scale AI deployments.
Contribute to long-term product strategy for enterprise AI deployments.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience working closely with engineering teams in product management, technical program management, or engineering leadership roles.
- Strong experience coordinating complex cross-functional projects in fast-moving technology environments.
- Strong technical background with experience building or launching complex software or AI systems.
- Experience working with AI products, voice systems, conversational AI, or automation platforms.
- Strong systems thinking and comfort working across APIs, integrations, and distributed systems.
Experience delivering production software in fast-moving startup environments.
Ability to translate real-world operational problems into technical product requirements.
Proven ability to drive projects across teams through influence rather than authority.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to navigate ambiguity.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive outcomes in ambiguous environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience deploying enterprise software or AI systems into real-world operational environments.
Background in restaurant technology, retail technology, or operational systems.
- Familiarity with conversational systems such as voice assistants, chatbots, IVR, or automation workflows.
Experience deploying enterprise software or AI platforms at scale.
Familiarity with restaurant technology, POS systems, or retail technology environments.
Previous experience working with enterprise customers on complex technology deployments.

Location
This role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and operates on a hybrid schedule from our San Mateo, CA office.
Compensation & Benefits
The U.S. base salary range for this position is approximately $150,000 – $180,000 annually, plus equity and benefits. Compensation is determined by role, level, location, and individual experience.
