Job Overview

The Accounting Manager will take ownership of a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring high standards of accuracy, timely closing, and quality client advisory support. This role combines technical accounting expertise, operational oversight, and team leadership, requiring a professional capable of managing client relationships, supervising accounting operations, and guiding junior team members to deliver excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee client accounts, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Review financial statements with clients and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Ensure accounting records and statutory filings are accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise bookkeeping, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
  • Lead closing processes, ensuring statements are reconciled and delivered on time.
  • Mentor junior accountants, fostering a growth-oriented and high-performance culture.
  • Streamline accounting processes using best practices and cloud-based systems (e.g., XERO).
  • Serve as the primary client contact, providing clear, professional guidance and support.

What Were Looking For

  • Bachelors degree in Accountancy with ACCA, CPA, or CA membership.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional accounting firm environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate team members.
  • Highly meticulous, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Hands-on experience with XERO or other cloud-based accounting systems is preferred.
  • Chinese speaking is preferred to communicate with clients and counterparts in Greater China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
