Job Overview

As a Finance Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the firm's financial operations, including general accounting, reporting, and trust account management. This role ensures financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and smooth financial processes to support the firm's operations and client obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate general ledger, financial statements, and monthly closing processes.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Manage budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Ensure all accounting records are audit-ready and compliant with regulations.
  • Handle client trust accounts in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage legal billing processes and client retainer accounts.
  • Support process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of trust accounting, legal billing, and client account management.
  • Familiarity with law firm accounting or billing systems is an advantage.
  • Communication in Chinese is an advantage, to work closely with clients from Greater China.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
