As a Customs Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end customs clearance process for import and export shipments. You will prepare and submit documentation, coordinate with internal teams, customs authorities, and transport providers, and ensure timely and compliant cargo clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit customs declarations accurately and on time.
  • Liaise with customs and other regulatory authorities to ensure proper shipment clearance.
  • Advise clients and internal teams on HS code classification, duties/taxes, and permit requirements.
  • Coordinate with transport vendors to arrange trailer or truck services for cleared shipments.
  • Process supplier invoices and collaborate with Finance for timely payments.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to e-commerce declarations and courier cargo systems.
  • Manage brokerage coordination, job creation, duty confirmations, and billing.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and customs regulations.
  • Maintain regular communication with customs officers on operational matters.

What Were Looking For:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customs clearance or related import/export operations.
  • Solid knowledge of customs regulations, HS codes, and duty/tax calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiar with customs or freight management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners, especially custom officers.
